| Dive Site Descriptions |
![]() The following pages are excerpts from a book entitled Diving Southeast Asia, published by Periplus Editions, publishers of some of the highest-quality guide books and arm-chair travel guides. Published in Singapore, this book was released in December 1996. The Thailand section, which is sampled here, was written by myself, John Williams, a partner in Siam Dive n' Sail. I have been diving in these waters for almost 10 years and was one of the first to explore some of the sites written about here. You'll find that the pages are not very interesting visually, but this was done on purpose; the descriptions are complete, and for those of you who love to read, you'll find it very interesting. For those of you who don't... well, sorry about that. I may add some pictures at a later date, but most of us know that one underwater picture looks pretty much the same as the next one, and they don't really tell you what's up--or, uh, down as the case may be. Please keep in mind that this material is copyrighted Periplus Editions. You can order the full version of this book by clicking on the cover picture above. Feel free to download these pages for reading off-line, but buy the book! It is a great overview of diving in Asia. If you're looking for something specific, use the search engine on our Home Page. Otherwise, use the cool buttons at the top and the bottom of the pages to look at the various areas. |
